Sixt Car Rental Croatia – Fleet, Locations & Reviews

We specifically wanted an automatic because we weren’t used to driving manual overseas. Sixt had plenty of options and the car was comfortable for driving along the coast.

We wanted to start our holiday in Split and finish in Zagreb so a one-way rental made the most sense. Booking online was straightforward and all the fees were shown before payment, which I appreciated. The car itself was almost new and very clean inside. We covered well over a thousand kilometres and it never gave us any problems. Drop-off in Zagreb was simple and the inspection was done in just a few minutes. Honestly one of the easiest car rentals I’ve had in Europe.

Booked pickup in Zagreb and returned the car in Split. Everything was arranged before we arrived and there were no surprises when we dropped it off. Would definitely do it again.

The car was exactly what we booked. Very clean inside and out, air conditioning worked great which was important in July. Had zero problems during our holiday.

Travelling with two young kids means we need a decent sized car and enough luggage space. We booked an SUV with Sixt and it was exactly what we needed. Child seats were already fitted when we arrived which saved us some time. We drove around Istria for over a week and never had any issues with the vehicle. The only small downside was waiting around 20 minutes at pickup because it was busy, but once it was our turn everything moved quickly. Overall, really happy with the rental.

The lady at the counter answered all our questions without rushing us. She explained the insurance properly which I appreciated because it’s usually confusing. Overall a really good experience.

We drove from Zagreb to Plitvice, Zadar and then down to Dubrovnik. The diesel SUV was comfortable and really good on fuel. Returning it in Dubrovnik was easy too.

We rented a car from Sixt for 10 days and drove from Zagreb to Plitvice, Zadar, Split and finally Dubrovnik. The whole process was much easier than we expected. Pickup at the airport was organised and the staff explained the important things without trying to upsell us too much. The car was comfortable, good on fuel and handled both the highways and smaller coastal roads really well. Returning it in Dubrovnik only took a few minutes. I’d definitely use Sixt again if we come back to Croatia.

First time renting with Sixt in Croatia and honestly everything went smoother than I thought. No long wait, no pressure to buy extras, and the car looked almost brand new.

Picked up the car at Split Airport and was on the road in about 15 minutes. Didn’t expect it to be that quick in the middle of summer. The car was clean and drove perfectly all week.
