Are luxury car rentals available for cross-border travel to Serbia?
Availability for luxury or premium rental cars is usually limited. Suppliers often restrict these vehicles to travel within Croatia only because of the higher insurance excess involved in taking a high-value car outside the country. Suppliers that do allow luxury vehicles for cross-country travel require a higher security deposit, and sometimes even additional insurance.

What happens if I cross without authorisation?
Travelling to a cross-border location without the supplier’s prior approval can void your insurance entirely. This means that you will be fully responsible for all costs related to vehicle damage or a third-party claim. And before any of that could happen, the Serbian border offices will most likely turn the car back at the checkpoint if your rental agreement does not mention permission to take the vehicle to Serbia.

Can I drive the rental car from Croatia through Serbia to another country?
Sometimes, but each additional country beyond Serbia usually needs its own separate approval on the agreement. The supplier’s permission to cross into Serbia does not automatically mean you can travel onward.
