Can I pick up a car in Croatia and return it in Slovenia?
Yes, you can choose from plenty of one-way deals from local and international suppliers to return a car in major Slovenian cities, without making a round trip to your pickup point in Croatia. You will need to pay a one-way drop fee on top of the standard rental cost, plus the usual cross-border fee.

How much is the Croatia to Slovenia cross-border fee?
Suppliers charge the cross-border fee to cover the paperwork needed to take a rental car into Slovenia. The fee is usually lower than for non-EU destinations because both Croatia and Slovenia are part of the European Union.

Do I get unlimited mileage with my cross-border rental?
Most Croatian rentals include unlimited mileage as standard, and this generally applies to cross-border trips to Slovenia as well. But some suppliers may apply a daily cap for cross-border bookings, and charge a per-kilometre fee for exceeding the permitted kilometres on limited-mileage deals.

Can I add an additional driver to my rental?
Yes. You can add extra drivers to your booking as optional add-ons for an additional fee. Sometimes a first additional driver is allowed at no cost, but an extra fee usually applies. Any additional driver must be present at pickup with the same documents as the main driver and must be listed on the rental agreement. The same age and licence requirements that apply to the main driver also apply to every additional driver.
⚠️ Important: Any accidental damage to the vehicle caused by unregistered drivers in Croatia and Slovenia alike is usually not covered by insurance, so the renter can be held fully responsible for all related costs.
